What
is Home Health Care?
The services of PCH Home Health are especially designed for the
patient who is ready to leave the hospital, but is still in need of
professional medical care. In some cases, patients may be referred
to PCH Home Health by a primary care or emergency room physician as
an alternative to hospitalization.
With home health services, patients can receive quality medical care
at home while recuperating in familiar and comfortable surroundings.
The patient’s family can also benefit from these services, as they
minimize the disruption to family life occurring when a loved one is
ill. Our nursing staff can teach family members to administer some
of the health care procedures themselves, enabling them to take an
active role in their loved one’s care.
